Our programs focus on:

  • MI Awakening - Emotional and social education that enables the restructuring of one's foundation in life, so they can change their mindsets, translate frustrations and turn fears into more productive lifestyles

Legitimize your hustle (LYH) Entrepreneurial Workshop: Turn a hobby into a job and a job into a business

  • Using life experiences to build the best resume

Support Services

  • Substance and metal health treatment referral

Mistaken Identity Foundation proudly partners with the Youth Career Center powered by Eckerd Connect!

We proudly help them service out-of-school youth ages 18-24 by together offering:

  • Basic skills and pre-GED training

  • 3-day Social and Emotional Intelligence Training

  • Workplace Excellence training curriculum developed by employers

  • Leadership development using The Only Person You Cheat Is You (TOPUCU)

  • Financial literacy training

  • 6-days of paid job shadowing

  • 125 hours of paid work experience

  • Job placement assistance

  • Referrals for supportive services

  • Training related financial assistance

  • Performance Based incentives

To participate you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Out-of school youth ages 18-24

  • Prince George's County resident

  • Low-income (if applicable)

  • U.S. Citizen or Authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Registered for Selective Service (males only
