Sheri M. Green is the CEO and Founding Director of Mistaken Identity Foundation (MI). As the director, Sheri has established the organization’s mission and has developed advocacy platforms, free public programs, and manages the fundraising and budget goals. Under Sheri’s leadership, MI has created the Community Tree of Life, which consists of two main branches: advocacy and alternative education and training. The most recent program is a partnership with the Girl Scouts of America - the first ever dedicated Troop for children with incarcerated parents, which will start in the Fall of 2018. Additionally the foundation held its inaugural gala

raised $10,000 while launching the 2018/2019 “Changing Mindsets, Changing Futures” initiative.


Before Sheri established the foundation in 2016, she owned a successful human resources management and workforce development consulting firm for 12 years. Her entrepreneurial expertise is based on 25 years in corporate America and her position as Chief of Staff at Freddie Mac, where she managed a staff of 35 people and had oversight responsibilities for over $30 million in project/operating capital. Sheri has her Master's Certificate in Project Management and Organizational Development. She is also certified in Strategic Planning, Identifying Corporate Risk, and Diversity Training.

Sheri is known by her family and friends as “The Lawyer” for her desire to fix injustices and to work on behalf of the underdog and underserved populations, especially children, the elderly, and persons with differing abilities.
